Box Score 2 HARRISONBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College picked up a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) softball wins this afternoon on the road, beating Eastern Mennonite University 5-2 and 15-8 at Gehman Field.

GAME ONE
Bri Allen had a solo homer to left field to give Eastern Mennonite the early 1-0 lead in the opener. Myia Smith's sacrifice fly to left field in the third inning scored Kassie Widner to tie the game, then Breanna Weaver's triple to center field in the fifth pushed Arielle Eure and Smith across the plate for a 3-1 lead.
Allen scored on a sac fly in the sixth inning to make it a 3-2 game. Ferrum answered in the seventh with a pair of runs, Skyler Swaney scoring on a wild pitch and Widner on a passed ball.

GAME TWO
Eure had a two-run bomb to left center in the first inning of the nightcap to get things rolling. EMU scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 3-2 lead. Maggie McCray's single to left in the fourth tied the game at 3-3, but the Royals scored a run in the bottom half of the frame to go back out in front 4-3.
Eure's sac fly to center accounted for the first of four Ferrum runs in the fifth inning, and was followed by Weaver's RBI single and a pair of runs scored on an error. The Panthers scored four runs in the sixth and EMU answered with four in the bottom of the frame to make it an 11-8 game after six full innings.
Ferrum scored four insurance runs in the seventh inning, including Macey Moore's RBI double to left center and Sears' three-run homer to left for the final count.
