Box Score DANVILLE, Virginia -- Ferrum College's Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball game against Averett University was suspended due to inclement weather in the bottom of the eighth inning with Ferrum leading 7-0 at Owen-Fulton Field this afternoon.

THE BASICS
After four scoreless innings of play, Ferrum got the first runs of the game on
Bryce Thacker's two-run single through the left side with the bases loaded. A wild pitch would score
Clayton Michael, to extend the Panther lead to 3-0.
Slade Keyser's sacrifice bunt scored
Noah Basham for the final run of the inning.
In the top of the eighth
Shawn Baxter's two-run double to right field scored Michael and Thacker to put Ferrum up 6-0. One batter later, Keyser doubled to left center to score pinch runner
Jaden Johnson.
The game was then put on hold and suspended due to lightning in the area. Play will be resumed in the bottom of the eighth inning when the two teams are slated to play on April 23 at Panther Field.
