FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College will hold Softball Instructional Camps on Saturday, November 2, and Saturday, November 16. Both camps with be held on campus at Vickie Van Kleeck Field. The camp is open to ages 6-16 and will be run by Head Coach Josh Freeman, his staff and players.

November 2 Camp
Time: 2-5:30 pm  |  Check-in: 1:50 pm  |  Grades: 9-12  |  Registration closes: Nov. 1  | Cost: $65

November 16 Camp
Time: 11 am - 3 pm  |  Check-in: 10:30 am  |  Ages 6-16  |  Registration closes: Nov. 15  |  Cost: $85

Our instructional camps provide all of the basic necessities your child needs to improve their level of play. Our camp covers all the essential skills, including hitting, outfielding, pitching, and catching. However, our focus extends beyond the technical aspects of the game. We emphasize the importance of a positive attitude, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our mission is to help young athletes develop both their technical abilities and their character, ensuring they grow as well-rounded players and individuals.

Camps will primarily focus on hitting and defensive drills, pitching, catching, and baserunning, providing a comprehensive training experience. Our structured approach is designed to enhance each athlete's overall performance and understanding of the game. To keep the experience enjoyable and engaging, we will also incorporate games and activities, ensuring that learning remains fun for all participants.
