FERRUM, Va. -- Director of Athletics Cleive Adams has announced the hiring of Karmen Board as Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Ferrum College. Board with work with second-year Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Carly Coyle.

Board comes to Ferrum from Tri-Area Community Health in Ferrum, where she worked as Front Office Assistant. She also worked as a Mobility Technician with Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, and as a Fitness Attendant with Carilion Wellness in Moneta, Virginia. Board also served a year as a Floater Teacher and Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach with the Roanoke City Public Schools.

She played lacrosse locally at Franklin County High School, graduating in May 2028, then went on to play a year at LIncolln Memorial University nd three years at Catawba College. Board earned her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from Catawba in 2022.
