FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College Athletics has announced weekend schedule changes for January 23-28, 2026 in light of the oncoming Winter Storm Fern, currently sweeping across the United States. An estimated 200 million plus people could be impacted by Fern.

Six Ferrum teams are being affected. Varsity and developmental men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track & field, women's indoor track & field and men's wrestling teams all have one or more schedule changes. Changes are listed below in chronological order of originally scheduled contests.

Men's Wrestling at home vs. Coker (Ferrum, VA)
Originally set for Friday Jan. 23 ... now Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 pm

Women's & Men's Track & Field at Liberty Open (Lynchburg, VA)
Originally set for Saturday Jan. 24 ... now Friday Jan. 23 at 9 am

Women's & Men's Basketball DH at Chowan (Murfreesboro, NC)
Originally set for Saturday Jan. 24 ... now Friday Jan. 23 at 4&6 pm

Men's Basketball Developmental at home vs. Southern Virginia (Ferrum, VA)
Originally set for Monday Jan. 26 ... postponed, make up date TBA

Women's & Men's Basketball DH at home vs. Lees-McRae (Ferrum, VA)
Originally set for Tuesday Jan. 27 ... now Wednesday Jan. 28 at 5&7 pm
