GOLDSBORO, N.C. -- Ferrum College men's golf competed in The Trojan Monday and Tuesday, March 30-31, at Walnut Creek Country Club, finishing 11th as a team.

THE BASICS
Lenoir-Rhyne University won the team title with an 863 score, five strokes better that Barton College. Belmiont Abbey College (884), university of Mount Olive (887) and Belmont Abbey B (891) rounded out the top five in a field of 12 teams. Ferrum finished 11th with a three-round 920 team score.
Winston Knobloch of Barton earned medalist honors with a three-round 208, finishing five strokes in front of Lenoir-Rhyne's Matthew McDougall.
Jake Chavis paced Ferrum with a 239 to tie for 35th in a field of 78 golfers.Â
