Flag Football No. 2 Seed at Conference Carolinas Tournament

Panthers Open Friday, April 17, vs. No. 7 Mount Olive

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College will compete in the inaugural Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Championship Tournament this weekend. The event will be held Friday through Sunday, April 17-19, at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.

The Panthers, led by first-year Head Coach Garrett Roth, and are the tournament's No. 2 seed. Ferrum earned a share of the Conference Carolinas regular season title under Roth with a 15-3 overall record and an 8-1 mark in league play.

Sharing the title with Ferrum is Wingate University, which earned the top seed via a 28-12 head-to-head win over Ferrum March 24 in Wingate, North Carolina.

The tournament begins at 12:00 p.m. on Friday with four quarterfinal games and will conclude with Sunday's title game at 2:00 p.m. Rounding out the top four seeds are No. 3 Lees-McRae College and No. 4 Barton College.
