FERRUM, Va. -- Conference Carolinas has announced Players of the Week and Ferrum College's
Payson Shreeve has been named Women's Flag Football Player of the Week for her part in two league games last week.
The Panthers beat Lees-McRae College 38-33 at home on April 8, and Shreeve was 33-51 passing for 342 yards and five touchdowns. She also added four rushing attempts for 43 yards and a score.
Then in Ferrum's 102-0 blowout win over Chowan University April 10 at home, Shreeve was 27-44 passing for 472 yards and 11 touchdowns, and added two rushes for eight yards and another score.Â
This is Shreeve's second Offensive Player of the Week award this season, including one on March 34. The All-Conference team was recently released and Shreeve made the first team at quarterback and was named the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Player of the Year.
Ferrum will be the No. 2 seed in this weekend's Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Tournament, to be held Friday through Sunday, April 17-19, at Durham County Memorial Stadium in North Carolina. The Panthers face No. 7 seed University of Mount Olive Friday at 7:00 p.m.
