FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College announces that Coach Josh Freeman has resigned from his employment as Head Softball Coach to pursue other opportunities.
 
Coach Freeman offered the following statement along with his notice. "I appreciated the opportunity to serve as Ferrum's head softball coach. I was privileged to have worked with a great group of student-athletes and wish them all the very best."
 
Athletic Director Adams offered the following statement: "The College wishes Coach Freeman much success in the future. He knows the game of softball, and worked hard to develop our student-athletes both on and off the field."
 
The College has begun its search for its next head softball coach.
