BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Ferrum College battled Lees-McRae College in Conference Carolinas volleyball action Tuesday, September 15, before falling 3-0 to the Bobcats at Williams Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
Ferrum stayed within striking distance throughout all three sets, with the Panthers holding a late lead in the third set before Lees-McRae rallied to close out the match.
The opening set featured two tie scores and one lead change, with the Bobcats taking a 25-21 win. Ferrum battled back in the second set, which featured 11 tie scores and five lead changes, but Lees-McRae again pulled away late for a 25-22 victory. The Panthers held a lead in the third set, but the Bobcats rallied to take the set and match.

Emma Powell led Ferrum with six kills each.
