NORFOLK, Va. -- Travis Crump went 3-5 with a triple, two runs and an RBI to help Ferrum College get past Virginia Wesleyan College 5-2 in non-conference baseball action this afternoon on the road.

Paul Jaglowski went 2-5 with an RBI.  Taryn Hayden, Sammy Holloway and Jason Parker each had a base hit for the Panthers.

Starter Brandon West got the win, pitching five innings and allowing five hits and one earned run.  Chris Madison and Justin Puentes also saw action out of the bullpen.  Madison went an inning and two thirds, allowing two hits, no runs and three walks, and striking out two.  Puentes went two and a third innings, allowing one hit, no runs and no walks with a strikeout.

Ferrum (9-9) returns to action Wednesday, March 16, at home against Stevenson University.  The non-conference game gets underway at 7 p.m. at Panther Field.
