LEXINGTON, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a 7-5 non-conference baseball game to Washington and Lee University this afternoon on the road.  The teams split the home and away series this year, each winning at home, including Ferrum's 4-0 win March 8 at Panther Field.

The Generals led 4-2 after five innings, but Ferrum scored two in the sixth to tie the game.  W&L scored two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to take a 7-4 lead, and the Panthers scored one in the ninth inning.

Jason Parker went 2-4 with a run for Ferrum.  Will Salley went 3-5 with a home run, two runs and three RBI for Washington and Lee (12-15).

Ferrum (19-11) is back in action Friday and Saturday, April 6-7, at home against Greensboro College.  The USA South games get underway Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m.
