BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference baseball game to Bridgewater College this afternoon, falling 19-2 on the road. Kyle Henshaw handcuffed the Panthers, allowing just three hits while striking out eight in the complete-game win.
The Eagles opened a 6-0 lead after four innings and never looked back. Ferrum scored two in the top of the sixth inning, including Jeffery Swoope's solo homer to open the frame. Bridgewater scored one in the bottom of the sixth for a 7-2 lead after six innings. Things got worse for Ferrum from there, as the Eagles exploded for 12 more runs in the next two innings.
Chris Walker was saddled with the loss after allowing seven hits, five earned runs and a walk over three and a third innings.

Tyler Faubert all saw time on the mound for Ferrum. Jonathan Mason had a pair of two-run homers for Bridgewater (22-7), one in the first inning and another in the seventh. Nick Fulk went 4-4 with a triple, four runs and two RBI.
Ferrum (12-21) will be back in action Wednesday, April 17, against Emory & Henry College in Pulaski, Virginia. The Panthers will close out the season Friday, April 19, at home against Lynchburg College.
