Dayze Gaulin scored first for the Vixens (1-12) at the 25:47 mark then Soleiby Delcid netted a goal at 60:55, with Orchowski being credited with assists on both goals. Orchowski then scored an unassisted goal at 63:23 for the final count. Sweet Briar outshot Ferrum 7-3.
Courtney Gosslin played all 70 minutes in net for the Panthers (1-11) with three saves. Katie Torretti played 70 minutes in net with no saves for the Vixens (1-12). The Panthers return to action Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Elizabethtown College. The non-conference game gets underway at 3:30 p.m. in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
