LEXINGTON, Va. -- Ferrum College fell 6-0 in non-conference field hockey action to Washington and Lee University this afternoon on the road. Abby Avery had a pair of goals to lead the Generals. Courtney Gosselin played all 70 minutes in net for Ferrum, making 14 saves. Megan Axelrod and Jacqueline Llewellyn each played 35 minutes in net for Washington and Lee (6-5), with neither goalkeeper facing a shot. The Panthers (1-9) return to action Thursday, Oct. 9 at Lynchburg College. The non-conference game begins at 6:00 p.m. in Lynchburg, Virginia.
