FERRUM, Va. --
Easton Riggs pitched four innings to get the win, allowing two hits and two walks with two strikeouts in Ferrum College's 4-2 win non-conference baseball win over Bridgewater College this afternoon at Panther Field.
Bridgewater (7-3) scored first with a run in the top of the fourth inning. Ferrum answered with a pair of runs in the bottom the frame.
Casey Naff scored off an RBI single by
Adam Duncan, then
Clay Massie scored when
Jeff Swoope reached on a fielders choice.
The Panthers struck for two more in the seventh inning.
Hank Parsley scored when
Lane Deaver grounded out to second base, and later in the inning
Matt Reynolds scored on a passed ball.
Taylor Davis and
Hank Parsley each had two base hits for the Panthers.
Ferrum (8-4) returns to action Sunday and Monday, March 9-10, in a USA South Athletic Conference three-game series with LaGrange College in Georgia. The two teams will play a doubleheader Sunday starting at 2 p.m., then come back Monday with a single game starting at 2 p.m.
