FERRUM, Va. -- Katerina DeSimone and Shelbi Holloman had a goal each to lift Roanoke College to a 2-1 non-conference field hockey win over Ferrum College tonight at Penn-Roediger Field. Kelly Savage scored for the Panthers in the second half to help avoid the shutout.

How It Happened
Roanoke jumped out to a 2-0 lead off DiSimone and Holloman's goal at 14:34 and 18:56, respectively. Savage then netted her goal off a pass from Sierra Magdaleno at the 43:18 mark, while Ferrum's defense held the Maroons scoreless in the second half.
