WINCHESTER, Va. -- Shenandoah University opened a 9-1 lead before cruising to a 19-4 non-conference women's lacrosse win over Ferrum College this afternoon at Sprint Field/Shentel Stadium.
Liz Bereit led the Hornets (6-3) with three goals and two assists. Brittany Arndt, Annie McCorry and Miranda Rudacille added three goald each and goalkeeper Rachel Levy made five saves.
Courtney Hamm led the Panthers with a pair of goals, while
Mckenzie Truini and
Arielle Boyd had a goal each.
Catie Vance dished out two assists, and GK
Graceanne Gershner made five saves.
Ferrum (7-4) returns to action Thursday, March 26, at Sweet Briar College. The non-conference game gets underway at 4:00 p.m. in Sweet Briar, Virginia.
