FERRUM, Va. -- The 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team has been announced and Ferrum College's
Makaila Veney has been honored.
In a vote of the league's head coaches, Veney was named a third team selection as a defender. She is now a four-time All-Conference player, including three second team selections in 2023, 2024 and 2025 by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while Ferrum was an NCAA Division III institution.Â
Veney started in 12 of 13 games she played in this season, recording five points on four goals and an assist. She led the Panthers in draw controls (53), ground balls (49) and caused turnovers (27). Veney also logged a pair of free position shots, scoring on one.
Ferrum closed the season 3-13 under second-year Head Coach
Carly Coyle. The Panthers were 1-7 in Conference Carolinas play. The Panthers graduate Veney and two other players this season, and have 14 players eligible to return for the 2027 season.
