Shannon Brown had three goals and an assist to lead Ferrum College in an 11-6 USA South Athletic Conference women's lacrosse loss to Greensboro College this afternoon at Penn-Roediger Field. Prior to the match, nine graduating seniors were honored.
Courtney Hamm added three goals, and in the process set a new Ferrum school record for career goals with 242. Goalkeeper
Amanda Cheney played all 60 minutes in net for the Panthers (8-6, 3-3 USA South) and made 22 saves, the second-highest single game total in school history.
Catie Vance and
Julianne Bove were each credited with an assist.
Nadya Fedun led the Pride (8-4, 4-2 USA South) with three goals, while Kristin Norris and Natalie Ritchie had two each. Kaleigh Hemstock played all 60 minutes in net for Greensboro with nine stops.
Brown, Cheney and Hamm were honored during a special Senior Day ceremony prior to the game. Also honored were teammates
