Sierra Magdaleno had a pair of goals each to lift Ferrum College to its first field hockey win of the year, an 8-0 shutout over non-conference opponent Notre Dame University of Maryland.

How It HappenedDanielle Persson scored in the 19th minute of play en route to Ferrum taking a 3-0 halftime lead. In the second half, the Panthers poured it on with five more goals. Mohica scored her goals in the 43rd and 56th minutes, while Magdaleno scored her's in the 38th and 52nd minutes.
Kasey Sheets was credited with a goal and an assist. Also scoring a goal each for the Panthers were
