DECATUR, Ga. -- Ferrum College swept a pair of non-conference softball games from Agnes Scott this afternoon on the road, winning 3-2 in the opener and 10-0 in the nightcap. Game two was halted after six innings due to the NCAA run rule.

THE BASICS
Courtney Rudd struck out nine batters to grab the complete game four-hit win in the opener. Jasmine Agee tossed a four-hitter in game two to get the win with four strikeouts. Lois Carpenter sent a ball over the center field fence in the third inning of the nightcap for the Panthers, her second home run this season. Tiara White collected four base hits on the day for the Scotties.

Coach Gerald Culler's team will compete next wee in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Panthers face Brenau University and University of Michigan-Dearborn Tuesday, Feb. 27, and the same two teams Wednesday, Feb. 28.
