MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Ferrum College wrapped up play at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic with a pair of non-conference wins this afternoon during the team's Spring Break trip. The Panthers beat University of Michigan-Dearborn 8-3 in the first game of the day, then hung on for a 3-1 win over Brenau University.

THE BASICS
Jasmine Agee (2-1) got win against Michigan-Dearborn, pitching four innings and allowing four hits, three earned runs and three walks with a pair of strikeouts.
Ashton Lambeth earned the save after pitching the final three innings with three hits, no runs and a walk.
Maddie Ols went 2-3 with a double and four RBI,
Keri Hamlett went 2-3 with an RBI and a stolen base, and
Tiffanie Moore went 2-2 with two runs. Against Brenau,
Courtney Rudd (4-0) earned her second complete game win in as many days, allowing four hits, an earned run and no walks with three strikeouts for the Panthers.
COACH'S THOUGHTS
"It was a good two-day stretch for us," said Head Coach
Gerald Culler. "We played two tough teams twice each and came out with a 3-1 record, and our only loss being 4-3 to a strong NAIA program."
NEXT GAME
Culler's team will host Mary Baldwin University Saturday, March 2, to open USA South Athletic Conference play. The doubleheader is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start at American National Bank Field.
