WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Ferrum College split a USA South Athletic Conference softball doubleheader tonight at Salem College, taking the opener 4-0 and losing the nightcap 5-1 at Salem's Blixt Field.

THE BASICS
Jasmine Agee (6-3) earned the USA South win in the opener after pitching three innings and allowing two hits, no runs and no walks with two strikeouts.
Keri Hamlett went 3-3 at the plate with a double, two RBI and a sac bunt. In the nightcap,
Courtney Rudd absorbed the nightcap loss after pitching the entire six innings and allowing eight hits, five earned runs and two walks with four strikeouts for Ferrum.
