ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- Ferrum College dropped a pair of USA South Athletic Conference baseball games this afternoon at North Carolina Wesleyan College, falling 4-3 in the opener and 9-5 in the nightcap at Bauer Field.

THE BASICS
Ferrum led 3-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning of the opener, but the Bishops rallied with three runs to eke out the win. Luke Mills (1-1) pitched the final two frames in relief to earn the win. Starter Jacob Holland pitched eight innings for Ferrum, allowing four hits, no earned runs and two walks, with seven strikeouts. In the nightcap, starter Drew Tubb (4-2) pitched eight innings to help N.C. Wesleyan complete the doubleheader sweep, posting six strikeouts. Nathaniel Anthony went 4-9 at the plate with a run, an RBI and a stolen base in two games for the Panthers.
