ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- Ferrum College picked up a USA South Athletic Conference baseball win this afternoon at North Carolina Wesleyan College, winning 11-2 at Bauer Field to grab the final game in the three-game league series.

THE BASICS
Ferrum belted out 14 base hits in the USA South road win. The Panthers trailed 1-0 after five innings, then exploded for six runs in the fourth inning, one in the fifth, and two each in the sixth and seventh. Brandon West went 3-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI and Garrett Dorton went 3-5 with two runs and three RBI for the Panthers. Starter Drew Calohan (3-1) pitched eight innings with nine strikeouts. Starter Austin King (0-1) absorbed the loss for the Battling Bishops.

BACK ON THE FIELD
Coach Ryan Brittle's team will be back in action Monday, April 2, at Bridgewater College. The two teams will play a non-conference doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. in Bridgewater, Virginia.
