BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Ferrum College split a non-conference baseball doubleheader this afternoon at Bridgewater College, splitting a pair of seven innings games. The Panthers dropped the opener 2-1, then took the nightcap 11-5 at Bridgewater Baseball Field.

THE BASICS
The Panthers lost the opener despite posting 10 hits to Bridgewater's two. In the nightcap, Ferrum scored five runs in the sixth inning to break a 5-5 tie and held on to get the non-conference split.
Nathaniel Anthony went 2-4 with a three-run homer and scored a pair of runs in game two, and
Noah Collins (2-0) pitched five innings in relief, allowing no hits or runs and struck out three to get the win. Luke Paczewski had two base hits for the Eagles in game two.

Ryan Brittle's team is back in action Tuesday, April 3, at home against Roanoke College. The non-conference game begins at 7:00 p.m. The Panthers then host LaGrange College in a three-game USA South series Friday and Saturday, April 6-7.
