FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) field hockey game this afternoon to Randolph-Macon College, falling 3-0 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

SENIOR DAY
Prior to the game, five seniors were honored with a Senior Day ceremony. Graduating seniors Morganne Flinkstrom, Mia Holmes, Brianna Sawyer and Brittany Warren were all honored after four years with the Panther field hockey program, while Shanon Proa played two seasons.

THE BASICS
Maddie McCoy got Randolph-Macon on the scoreboard 1:07 into the game when she found the back of the cage off a pass from Austyn Faries. Maria-Teresa Ambrogi-Torres then made it a 2-0 game when she converted a penalty stroke at the 12:07 mark.

A lightning strike in the Ferrum area halted play as the first quarter ended, at 3:17 p.m. A second strike occurred at 3:39 p.m. and was followed by multiple strikes.

The all-clear was given and play resumed at 5:45 p.m.. The two teams played through a scoreless second quarter, then Ambrogi-Torres notched her second goal of the day at the 37:17 mark, with Faries credited with another assist.
