FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College's women's swimming team celebrated Senior Day this morning in conjunction with the team's dual meet with Old Dominion Athletic Conference fellow member Sweet Briar College.

SENIOR DAY
Four graduating seniors were recognized prior to the meet, including Emilie Fairman, Lauren Hackett, Liza Montgomery, and Jordan Prezio.

THE BASICS
Sweet Briar won the first nine events to open a commanding lead. Montgomery broke up the streak for the Panthers with a win in the 10th event, the 500 freestyle. 

Fairman was second today in the 100 breaststroke in her season debut after returning from study abroad. Hackett was third in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 breaststroke. Montgomery was third in the rugged 1650 freestyle, Prezio was third in the 100 backstroke and third in the 100 individual medley, while Fairman was third in the 100 freestyle.

NEXT UP
Coach Margaret Bisnett's team will be back in action Saturday, January 21, in a tri-meet with Greensboro College and Randolph College. The meet will be held at Greensboro's Reynolds Family Student Life Center.
