Box Score BLUFFTON, South Carolina - Ferrum College Women's Basketball made program history defeating Georgia Southwestern 60-57 earning its first ever NCAA Divison II win. Playing in day two of the Conference Carolinas versus Peach Belt Conference Challenge, the Panthers were led by a pair of freshman. Sofia Ponce, scored a career high 21 points and Breyana Kimmons used two triples en route to 16 points in the win.

THE BASICS
The Hurricanes used a fast start to take a 23–14 lead after the first quarter, but Ferrum responded with a 20-point second period to cut the deficit to five heading into halftime. Ferrum's defense set the tone after the break, allowing just 10 points in the third quarter and only 8 in the fourth.
Ponce led Ferrum with 10 rebounds, recording her first double double. The Panthers struggled at the free throw line, making only 5 of 22. Georgia Southwestern shot a dismal 25% in the second half.
Sophomore Maslyn Mosbacher's layup with just under 4 minutes remaining in the game put Ferrum ahead by three. Both teams struggled down the stretch and the Panthers were able to hang up for the historic win.
