COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Ferrum College picked up a Conference Carolinas men's wrestling win on the road over Allen University, winning 39-6 tonight at John Hurst Adams Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
The match began with the 184-pound weight class, where Joseph Toner put Ferrum in front with a 12-9 sudden victory to spot the Panthers a 3-0 lead. Noah Harris (197 lbs) followed with a pin over Kaden Gadson in a time of 2:05. 

Two matches later, Riley Conway (125) picked up a 20-5 tech fall, then Josiah Canales Maldonado (133) won a 9-4 decision, to make the team score 17-3 after five matches. 

Newcomer Isaac Dodd (141) and Cameron Curva (149) both won by fall in the next two weights. Dodd pinned Ja'len Shippy in a time of 2:47, while Curva had the same result over Quincy Gash at 2:26.

Robert Owens Jr. (165) won by fall over Torrance Adkins in a time of 4:22, then Hunter Thompson posted a 10-1 major decision to close out the match and give the Panthers their second league win this season.
