SNOW HILL, N.C. -- Ferrum College men's golf competed at the Conference Carolinas Championships, held April 19-21 at Cutter Creek Golf Club. Ferrum finished tied for 11th overall in a competitive 12-team field.

THE BASICS
Emmanuel University won the team title with an 869 three-round total, finishing four strokes ahead of runner-up Barton College at 873. King University and University of Mount Olive tied for third at 883, while Erskine College finished fifth at 884. Ferrum finished tied for 11th at 921 in the 12-team field. Mount Olive's Shawn Benton earned medalist honors, carding a three-day 212 to finish one stroke better than Barton's Winston Knoblock.
FERRUM NOTES
Wyatt Larson led the Panthers with a tie for 40th in a field of 68 golfers, carding a three-round total 231 (+15), including a strong final-round 74 (+2).
Ryan Austin and
Jake Chavis tied for 44th at 232.
Brandon Jones closed well with a 74 (+2) in the final round. As a team, Ferrum improved each day, shaving nine strokes off its opening round score over the course of the tournament.Â

SEASON FINALE
The tournament closed out the 2025-26 season for Coach Adam Crawford's team. The Panthers are in the first year of NCAA Division II competition as proud members of Conference Carolinas.
