FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped its season-opener in men's tennis to Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe Guilford College, falling 7-2 at the Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
The Quakers opened by sweeping all three doubles matches, then won four of six singles matches to close out the league win.
Patrick Marsh earned a win for Ferrum at #4 singles, beating Logan Glass 8-7. Marsh needed a 8-6 win in the tiebreaker to pull out the match. Also winning for the Panthers was Pol Lambea, who steamrolled past Guilford's Matthew Souriya by a score of 8-1.
