FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference men's tennis match to visiting William Peace University, falling 7-2 this afternoon at the Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
The Pacers won two of the three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 lead. Angel Araiza clinched the match with the fifth and deciding point with a win at #4 singles over Ferrum's Will Davis.

Gabriel Alvarez was a bright spot for the Panthers, picking up a pair of wins. He beat Benjamin Fleming in three sets at #1 singles and teamed with Kevin Nester to take a tiebreak win over Fleming and Daniel Hidalgo at #1 doubles.
