Hall of Fame
Member of the Ferrum College faculty for more than 30 years as an associate professor of history. Ferrum College tennis coach 1965-1988 and 1996-1997. Overall coaching record for men’s tennis of 345-41. Received 14 Coach of the Year awards. Thirteen undefeated teams in 27 years of coaching. Team won 77 consecutive matches and seven Cavalier-Tarheel Conference titles from 1967-1973. Received three Teacher of the Year awards. Received the 1990 Sears College Teaching and Campus Leadership Award.Â
