Played basketball at Ferrum 1982-86 … in his first year, was the leading rebounder in Region X (10) and fifth in the nation for the NJCAA, averaging 15 points and 13 rebounds a game … team captain in 1983, but missed season due to auto accident … in his final year with the Panthers, led team in rebounding … first recipient of the Wallace Dalton Rebounding Award … earned degrees from Ferrum College and Hampton University … after graduating from college, taught 11th grade English and coached basketball, football and track … was instrumental in the successful development of the first Alternative Education program in Martinsville and Henry County … helped with summer basketball camps at Ferrum … for the past 22 years he has been working in Greensboro, North Carolina, for Guilford County serving in managerial roles, clinician roles and as an Adult Home Specialist, monitoring assisted living homes in Guilford Co for compliance and licensure … owner of R&R Productions, one of the top event promotion companies on the East Coast, in business for over 15 years … earned a Master’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University, graduating with honors and a 4.0 GPA … presently a 5th Degree Black Belt in Martial Arts (Kyokushinkai) and has won several tournaments in the heavyweight division … member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., where he is constantly heading up mandated community programs … married to Teresa, and has three children; Nakia, Dominique, and Caitlyn.
