Played football two years at Ferrum … offensive guard and defensive end … outstanding defensive player of Ferrum’s 1965 National Championship team … also played in the 1966 national championship game … went on to play for the University of Richmond … helped Spiders win 1967 Tangerine Bowl … also played in the 1968 Tangerine Bowl … played in four bowl games game in four year of college football … Past President of Marvin V. Templeton & Sons of Lynchburg from 1986-96 … Past President of Virginia Roadbuilders Association 1992-93 … Board of Directors, First National Bank of Altavista in 1993 … coached Little League five years … Past President Campbell County Cattlemen Association … Board of Directors, Virginia Cattlemen Association and Campbell County Cattlemen Association … Board of Directors Lynchburg Feeder Golf Association … active in support of Patrick Henry Boys & Girls Home … currently involved with Troublesome Creek Angus in Evington, Virginia.
