Played football at Ferrum from 1966-67 … played in the 1966 National Championship game … Panthers 17-2 during his career at Ferrum … National Runner-Up in 1966 … Ferrum was ranked #1 in nation in 1967 before being upset and closing with 8-1 record … Team Captain and starting left guard on #1-ranked offense in nation … Finalist for Honor Council at Ferrum … earned a full scholarship to William & Mary, where he started two seasons at offensive guard … 1971 Head Football Coach at Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton, youngest high school coach in Virginia … 1975 Head Coach of University of Virginia’s JV football team … went on to begin a 26-plus year career with Equitable Life Insurance Company  in Alabama … promoted to Agency Manager in New Orleans in 1985 … Won President’s Trophy in 1989 … went from #92 to #1 in New Agent Development in just four years … ran Virginia Agency of Jefferson Pilot Company for three-plus years … currently runs his own Financial Services Company in Richmond … Secretary Birmingham Touchdown Club … member Birmingham Jaycees … Secretary Birmingham Exchange Club … member, Estate Planning Council of Richmond … member First Baptist Church in Richmond … Sunday School Teacher.
