Dr. Frank McCue
Special Recognition, Posthumous
Dr. Frank McCue served as a longtime orthopedic surgeon at the University of Virginia and was the Head of the Sports Medicine Department for 41 years. Dr. McCue gave his time and talents operating on student athletes in Virginia. When Ferrum Junior College played for the National Championships in the Shrine Bowl at Savannah, GA in 1965, 1966, and 1968, Dr. McCue traveled at his own expense to be with the team. Dr. McCue operated on many Ferrum athletes over the years and for that Ferrum College was grateful and fortunate to have his friendship over the years. Dr. McCue passed away on July 8, 2012.
