Two-year member of the Ferrum men’s basketball team from 1966-68 ? Earned All-Conference and All-America for Ferrum in 1968 ? Went on to play for Kansas State University, averaged 15.5 points/game over two seasons ? Named All-Big Eight and honorable mention All-America, is ninth on KSU’s all-time scoring list ? Selected by Philadelphia 76ers in 6th round of 1970 NBA Draft ? Went on to play 13 years for the Harlem Globetrotters ? Met Nancy Reagan as part of the Globetrotters involvement with President Ronald Reagan’s Drug Awareness Campaign ? Launched Learning Opportunities Through Sports (LOTS), a Staunton-based nonprofit that aims to improve the lives of young people in the Greater Augusta area by promoting sports and educational activities ? Played with a high level regional slow pitch softball team from 1975-2003 ? Vice President of Little League Baseball ? Coached basketball at Tandem High School in Charlottesville ? Taught at Albemarle High School in Charlottesville ? CEO and active community member with the “Staunton Education Foundation”, which helps school aged children through the promotion of sports and educational activities ? Member of the Booker T.
