Lou was named co-captain while playing middle linebacker for the Ferrum College football team. He was a member of the 1966 National Junior College Championship Team. He attended Ferrum from 1965 to 1967 and played baseball as well as football. He was named a 1st Team Junior College All-American. He continued his education at Georgia Institute of Technology where he played football and received a bachelor of science degree in industrial management. He joined the US Gypsum President’s Club in 1972 for Outstanding Sales. He is actively involved in his community through St. John’s Episcopal Church. As his children were growing up, he volunteered with the Mecklenburg Aquatics Club and Little League Baseball. He is currently President of Environamics, Inc.Â
