Played three sports at Ferrum from 1996-2000: soccer four years, tennis three years and basketball one year * Ferrum’s first-ever Academic All-American, earning third team honors in 2000 * Academic All-District first team in 2000 * 4X Dixie Conference Academic All-Conference * USA South Silver Anniversary Team * Ferrum College President’s Cup recipient in 2000 * Ferrum’s NCAA Woman of the Year nominee in 2000 * Ferrum women’s soccer team captain in 1998 and 1999, Coaches Award 1998, Team MVP in 1999 * Dixie Conference Rookie of the Week in 1996 * Kendis Cup National All-Star Team * NSCAA Scholar Athlete All-American South Region first team * Dean’s List all eight semesters at Ferrum * Wall Street Journal Academic Achievement in Business Division Award * Lambda Sigma Honor Society * Alpha Chi Honor * Society * GTE Academic All-District III 1998 Fall/Winter & Winter/Spring Sports At-Large Team * Who’s Who Among Student in American Universities and Colleges | Ferrum Jazz and Concert Band member 1996-2000 * After graduating from Ferrum College in 2000 with a double major in Marketing and Finance, spent several months in Dallas, Texas, working at GTE in the Developer Services Marketing Integration Department * Returned to Northern Virginia in Fall 2000, started a position at Sunrise Senior Living as a Payroll Associate, and also joined a classic rock band called The Fabulous Dialtones * Earning the Joy in Service Award in 2002, was promoted to the Sunrise Treasury Department as a Budget Analyst * Currently Senior Director of the Financial Planning and Analysis Department at Sunrise Senior Living, one of the leading Senior Living companies in the United States  * With her husband, Keith, the couple have two daughters, Lyric (13), and Aria (9) * Volunteer as Team Manager and Head of Recruitment & Marketing for my daughters’ team, Triangle Formation Synchronized Ice Skating Team, which qualified for U.S. Nationals in 2000
